Overview
What is FRUCTOSAMINE
Your body’s average level of blood glucose during the previous two to three weeks is shown by your fructosamine levels. Increased fructosamine levels are indicative of poor control in recognized cases of diabetes. Changes in your hemoglobin and red blood cells have no effect on this test.

Glycemic control in the intermediate term can be evaluated with this assay. In diabetic individuals, fructosamine represents their glycemic control for the preceding two to three weeks. Elevated readings suggest inadequate control.
