Fatty liver disease is a common condition in which too much fat is deposited in your liver. When the amount of fat reaches 5% to 10% of your liver’s weight, it becomes a problem. This is seen in Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) which if untreated progresses to chronic liver problems & cirrhosis. If fatty liver is detected in early stage, it can be reversed if you follow your doctor’s advise. This test calculates an index to classify people into low or high risk groups.
