Overview
What is DIABETES SCREEN
High blood sugar levels are a symptom of a metabolic disease called diabetes mellitus (DM). There are primarily two types: Type 1, which results from the death of insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, and Type 2, which results from either insufficient insulin production or a poor response of your cells to insulin. Type 2 is more prevalent and causes your blood sugar levels to become excessively elevated. Increased thirst, frequent urination, hunger, exhaustion, weight loss, blurred eyesight, and numbness in the hands and feet are typical symptoms. All of the body’s organs may sustain harm if left untreated.
